Los Angeles-based punk band The Bronx--aptly named after the Left Coast borough--has for the last six years redefined what punk means, sounds, and doesn't look like. After three self-titled full-lengths, countless tours all over the world, and more singles and EPs than one can count, they return with their latest offering inspired by the inescapable Mariachi music that celebrates Mexican-American culture. Mariachi El Bronx features the grammy-award-winning artist David Hidalgo from Los Lobos and Latin Playboys, as well as Alfredo Ortiz (Beastie Boys). The self-titled album was produced by John Avila in Los Angeles. The band has a loyal fanbase of over 20,000 and is set to perform select US dates with The Hold Steady and to hit the UK on the main stages of the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
