Full album from funk legend Tony Cook on Stones Throw! Tony Cook was responsible for the '83 proto-house classic "On The Floor(1)" (which is included here!) and was once drummer for the JB's so you can rest assured the funk runs deep. Back To Reality compiles some of Cook's vintage works, alongside unreleased material, as well as brand new tracks. Check the killer boogie funk grooves of "Video Rock(2)," a previously unreleased jam mixed down from the master tapes by ST honcho PB Wolf, the uber-rare "Get To The Point(3)" with extra the helping of soulful vocals courtesy of Vernon Cheely, "What's On Your Mind(4)" with LA's current boogie funk icon Dam-Funk, plus cooled out groovers for the floor like "Late For Dancing(5)," and "Heartbreaker(6)." Essential stuff for the boogie lovers!
