A massive bit of Miami soul – maybe one of the greatest albums to come out of that city's scene in the 70s! Gwen McCrae's never sounded better than on this set – a wonderful record that takes the rootsy style of her earlier singles, and mixes them with a warmly bubbling groove that's pure Miami all the way – bits of club and pop in the mix, but still plenty of deep soul and funk to keep things real! Backings are simple and great – with arrangements by Mike Lewis, keyboards from Latimore, and some great guitar from Little Beaver! Titles include the legendary cut "90% Of Me" – which has an amazing intro that has been sampled to great fame – plus the big hit "Rockin' Chair", and the tracks "It Keeps On Raining", "He Don't Ever Lose His Groove", "Move Me Baby", and "Let Them Talk".
